A while back I wrote about the importance of the back entry experience of a home. Well, we just completed a new home on Lake Michigan that epitomizes the Front Entry Experience!

This is a custom designed home on Lake Michigan. As background, our client owned an old cottage that they replaced with their new "dream home". Working with our in-house architect, Paul Harloff, they created the views and living spaces that fit their lifestyle and family (including visits from the grandkids).

Obviously, everyone knows that it is important to maximize the views of the water when you live on Lake Michigan. But, it is much more difficult to execute than you think considering the floor plan and how the home sits on the site. Well, we feel that Paul created a spectacular home that captures the essence of the Lake Michigan lifestyle from the moment you enter the front door.

We have a few pictures, but if you want to see this home in person, we are showcasing it in the 2010 Holland Parade of Homes right now (Parade ends on Saturday June 19). We welcome you to visit us on the Parade as this will be your only opportunity to experience the lake views and other custom design elements of this home.
